Candida Antibody Serum, IgG
Candida Antibody Serum, IgA
Candida Antibody Serum, IgM
Candida Antigen
rESULTS
sample Req.
The Candida antibodies test measures Candida Antigens in addition to immune IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies to Candida.
Results are interpreted against a reference range to determine whether antibody levels fall within expected parameters or suggest heightened immune reactivity, consistent with Candida overgrowth.
Elevated IgG is consistent with recent exposure to Candida
IgA Antibodies are found in the body’s mucosal surfaces which include gastrointestinal, respiratory, genital, and urinary tracts. Elevated levels are associated with mucosal candida overgrowth.
IgM Antibodies are the body’s initial defence against infection, usually detectable in the bloodstream several days to a week after initial exposure, Elevated levels of IgM may indicate an acute response to Candida.
Candida Antigens detects fungal components in circulation, suggesting active infection.
