rESULTS

sample Req.

The Candida antibodies test measures Candida Antigens in addition to immune IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies to Candida.

Results are interpreted against a reference range to determine whether antibody levels fall within expected parameters or suggest heightened immune reactivity, consistent with Candida overgrowth.

  • Elevated IgG is consistent with recent exposure to Candida

  • IgA Antibodies are found in the body’s mucosal surfaces which include gastrointestinal, respiratory, genital, and urinary tracts. Elevated levels are associated with mucosal candida overgrowth.

  • IgM Antibodies are the body’s initial defence against infection, usually detectable in the bloodstream several days to a week after initial exposure, Elevated levels of IgM may indicate an acute response to Candida.

  • Candida Antigens detects fungal components in circulation, suggesting active infection.
