R0052 + R0175

Lactobacillus helveticus R0052 + Bifidobacterium longum R0175

  • Mitigates serotonin depletion

  • Mitigates dopamine depletion

  • Reduces emotional reactivity

  • Lowers stress responses

  • Lowers cortisol output

  • Alleviates Anxiety and Depression

  • Alleviates Anger and Hostility

Lactobacillus helveticus R0052 combined with Bifidobacterium longum R0175  works through several coordinated mechanisms that influence the gut–brain axis. First, both strains reduce inflammation-driven neurochemical disruption by decreasing pro-inflammatory cytokines and supporting IL-10 upregulation, which protects serotonin and dopamine pathways from cytokine-induced depletion.

They also reinforce gut barrier integrity and competitively suppress stress-amplifying gut bacteria, reducing inflammatory signalling into the central nervous system. The strains modulate afferent vagus nerve signalling, improving emotional regulation and reducing amygdala-driven stress responsivity.

Additionally, they attenuate hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis overactivity, leading to reduced cortisol production. Together, these effects stabilise neurotransmission, lower visceral stress signalling, and improve behavioural and emotional processing.

ClInical Results

Clinical research has demonstrated that after 30 days of supplementation

  • Global psychological distress symptoms decreased by approximately 40 - 50%

  • Depression decreased by 30 - 35%

  • Anger and hostility by 30 - 40%

  • Anxiety by 33%

  • General psychological or emotional stress symptoms by 40%.

  • 24-hour urinary cortisol also decreased by 15 - 20% [28]
