GR1 + RC14

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR1 + Lactobacillus reuteri RC14 +

  • Alleviates Bacterial Vaginosis

  • Alleviates Candidiasis

  • Alleviates Urinary Tract Infections

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 support vaginal and urinary tract health through potent antimicrobial, anti-adhesion, biofilm-modulating, and pH-regulating mechanisms. L. rhamnosus GR-1 restores a Lactobacillus-dominant microbiome by colonising the vaginal tract after oral intake and producing lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide, which lower vaginal pH and inhibit pathogens including E. coli, Gardnerella vaginalis, and Candida albicans. GR-1 also prevents pathogen adhesion and enhances mucosal immunity.

ClInical Results

Candida, Bacterial Vaginosis + Urinary Tract Infections

Clinically, GR-1 suppresses Candida growth by 52 - 73%, blocks fungal metabolism and biofilm formation, improves bacterial vaginosis (BV) culture results in 59% of women, and, when paired with antimicrobial treatment normalises BV markers in 88% versus 40% with placebo. In recurrent UTI populations, daily GR-1 + RC-14 lowers infection frequency from 6.8 to 3.3 UTIs per year.

Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 works synergistically with GR-1, adhering to the vaginal epithelium and producing lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and bacteriocins that inhibit E. coli, Candida albicans, and BV-related anaerobes while preventing pathogenic attachment. Clinical trials consistently show that GR-1 + RC-14 increases vaginal Lactobacillus counts, normalises microbiome swabs in 90% of women, and restores healthy flora in 61.2% versus 26.85% using placebo.[14][15][17][21]
